Colonel Jeff Greenwood retired June 2, 2023, after 28 years active duty in the US Air Force and US Space Force. Jeff has performed the Star-Spangled Banner (SSB) at a multitude of events throughout his military career and wanted to retire by singing it with fellow barbershoppers. Since he now sings with the America the Beautiful (ATB) Chorus, he joined with three other chorus singers to perform it as a quartet including Dr. Paul Huff (bass), John Becker (lead), and Les Fry (tenor), with Jeff singing the baritone part. The 60+ personnel who attended the ceremony very much appreciated the quartet’s SSB rendition. ATB Chorus now plans to sing with Colonel Jeff Greenwood (USAF/USSF, Ret.) for many years.
